PLEASANT PLACE

As of October 2024, the forces behind YES/NO MUSIC have also reached into the world of releasing music. The record label is called Pleasant Place. Generally speaking, it is dedicated to instrumental music, but this encompasses many genres, subgenres and microgenres that inhabit the world of world-summoning, daydreaming, relaxing, non-vocal music.

Accordingly it will be a home for new music that falls within things like ambient, postclassical, dungeon synth, chamber music, kankyо̄ ongaku contemporary instrumental. Reissues are also planned as the world moves on and things are forgotten as they occasionally are. It is a garden to which we tend, this Pleasant Place, and it will take some time for it to become the oasis we envisage.

If you have at any time enjoyed the taste in new music (and old) exhibited on YES/NO MUSIC, perhaps you might like to step into the world of Pleasant Place. We invite you to take a look at our Bandcamp, listen to something, share it, scrutinise it, support as you see fit — or don't.

You may be interested in submitting some of your own music to join Pleasant Place. If that is you, good news: We are actively looking for submissions, so please do send something along if you think it will be a good fit. Vocals with lyrics, overt structure, beats — these kinds of things are generally not "pleasant place material", but exceptions can occur.
